Biphobia is the fear of or aversion to bisexuals. Biphobia is the portmanteau of bisexual and homophobia/heterophobia. A person with this phobia may only accept people who are attracted to one gender, but not the ones who are attracted to two or more genders. They may be unwilling to date a bisexual person out of fear they are more likely to cheat, or see bisexuals as dirty for possibly having been in a relationship with someone of a different gender than the biphobic person. It can be suffered by homosexuals, heterosexuals, and asexuals. Bisexual people may feel like their sexual orientation is less real than that of a monosexual (person who is attracted to one gender).
