Daknophobia (from Greek dakno meaning "bite") is the fear of being bitten. The fear is usually triggered due to painful experiences of being bitten, such as being hospitalized after getting bit by a dog. Sufferers would not own cats and dogs. Daknophobes would feel dread when being in the place where there is cats, dogs, or other animals that can bite, but would panic in terror when it gets bit. Daknophobes would stay in the building where there are no animals roaming around, let alone not going in the zoo nor wilderness.
