Ehsanophobia is the fear of expending money. The fear is most commonly triggered due to people buying expensive things and running out of money so they would not be able to buy other things. Others would fear buying expensive things that wasn't worth it, such as getting expensive things that turned out to be defective or accidentally broke. Ehsanophobia may develop into peniaphobia (fear of poverty) and is commonly feared by plutophobes (people who fear wealth).
