Burned

Encavmaphobia (also known as Burnmophobia) is the fear of getting burned, a branch of Traumatophobia (the fear of injury) and Pyrophobia (the fear of fire). The fear often develop after a person is severly burned. As a result, sufferers will stay away from real hot and scalding things, such as frying foods, boiling water, and especially fire. When someone who cooks develops this fear, the person may stop cooking and become unable to go near cooking appliances, in a manner similar to those who suffer from Mageirocophobia. Sufferers may also panic when another person gets a burn. Encavmaphobes may also avoid taking hot shower or using any hot water. In addition since not all burns are caused by heat or steam, they may avoid using chemicals and electrical appliances while staying out of the sun. Encavmaphobia is often treated using same methods as the parent phobia, Traumatophobia, like CBT and hypnotherapy.
