Gratiarophobia (from gratiarum, Latin for "Thanksgiving") is the fear of Thanksgiving. People are afraid of Thanksgiving a lot to do because they're afraid that they eat food they don't like, or even fearing food. Another cause of this phobia is the fear of turkey (meleagrisphobia) as turkey is the dominant association of Thanksgiving. A less common cause is the fear of having people over or going out (agoraphobia).

Sufferers of gratiarophobia would avoid eating Thanksgiving dinner while spending much of the day alone in their bedroom away from the dining area and family room.
