Grothophobia or gronthokopophobia (from Greek grothia, gronthokopo, meaning punch) is the fear of getting punched. The most common cause of phobia is getting punched and injured as well as getting softly punched and annoyed by it. Sufferers would want to either live alone or hide all the time in family's home while not going out anywhere.

Symptoms of grothophobia include feeling sick to the stomach, trembling, sweating, rapid breathing, and inability to think. It is commonly treated using cognitive-behavioral therapy.
