Nonamophobia is the fear of blackout. This fear is usually developed simply when getting scared when lights suddenly go out, especially by young children. Nonamophobia is often connected with nyctophobia (fear of dark), since blackout means suddenly going dark.

The symptoms include crying, panic, and sweating. This phobia is often treated using psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and talk therapy.
