Periculophobia (from Latin periculo, "risk") is the fear of taking risks. The fear is often caused by traumatic experience of failing on a risking attempt or by encountering a situation that must risk their lives. This phobia is particular common on children as many of them don't understanding their risks very much. People suffering periculophobia would not be that challenging to avoid taking risks, like avoiding to gamble and going across danger zones.
