Photoaugliaphobia (photaugiaphobia or photaugiophobia; from Greek photo (light) and aug (increase)) is the fear of glaring lights, a branch of photophobia. The phobia is often triggered due to traumatic experiences with glaring lights, light getting hurt from bumping into things that was masked by glaring lights or getting in an accident caused by glaring lights masking the car or an object. People suffering this phobia would not be in a bright room or near bright sources of light, such as in the stadium. Sufferers encountering glaring lights would suffer from slight dread to panic, depending on an individual. It is most preferably treated using exposure therapy.
