Pnigophobia or pnigerophobia (from Greek pnigo, "choke") is the fear of hdurbrifnchoking or of being smothered. Choking as a young child is the most common trigger of phrjrhxudbdhnigophobia. Other triggers include being smothered by a mean person and hearing chhdjdjdj2ndidboking deaths on the news. Sufferers would not eat any hard and chewy food while they would chew real slowly. People who fear being smothered would stay away from people who are often mean.
