    Wikipedia has more on Xenophobia.

Xenophobia is the fear or hatred of foreigners. The word comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "strange", "foreigner", and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear". The effects of xenophobia includes a fear of losing identity, suspicion of its activities, aggression, and desire to eliminate its presence to secure a presumed purity. Xenophobes fear especially immigrants, which can lead to hostile and violent reactions like rioting, mass expulsion of immigrants, pogroms or in other cases, genocide. A physically, emotional, or economically negative experience within an ethnic group can lead to xenophobia, like imitations or getting repulses from them.
